Chair: Ms. Virginia Laboranti - virginialaboranti@fibertel.com.ar ASIA-PACIFIC REGION MEMBERSHIP CommitteeRegional committee as established per proposed C&BL Chair: Mr. Dato'Ismail Ngah - dibn57@gmail.com CLIMATE CHANGE ProjectThe Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA), in partnership with IFLA and the CSIRO, has commenced a one year project, reporting in June 2010, to undertake a preliminary review of Australian and international examples of climate adaptation tools and strategies for responding to the impacts of climate change within the context of the built environment. Temporary until the project is completed COMMUNICATION Committee• Developing a comprehensive international communication strategy between regions, including different target groups (e.g. students, academics and practitioners) associated with the landscape architecture realm.
• Supporting, supervising and expanding all the activities that relate to communication in IFLA, internally and externally. • Developing and monitoring the implementation of lines of actions for the IFLA webpage. • Ensuring that a communication workshop or panel discussion in relation to communication aspects of IFLA takes place during every World Congress and regional conference. COMPETITIONS Task ForceThe Competitions' coordinator purpose is to act as the communication link and policy guide for international competitions. To promote landscape architecture competitions and support those who wish to hold such competitions, within the guidelines of IFLA's policies at the time in force.

CULTURAL LANDSCAPES CommitteeThe activities of the IFLA Cultural Landscapes Committee (CLC) address the safeguarding, protection, conservation and preservation of cultural landscapes through technical support, education, research, advocacy and other measures determined by the Committee. Please visit IFLA CLC website Chair: Ms. Patricia O'Donnell - odonnell@heritagelandscapes.cc Standing committee ECONOMIC RECOVERY STRATEGY projectIn order to help IFLA address the issue of economic recovery, national associations were required to provide information on the current employment status of practices and individuals, as well as synopses of how the profession has fared in their countries and what efforts, if any, they have undertaken to assist their members with economic recovery. This would allow to provide an analysis of the economic situation within the various regions.

EUROPEAN REGION MEMBERSHIP CommitteeRegional committee as established per proposed C&BL Chair: Mr. Carlo Bruschi - carlo.bruschi@tin.it FINANCE COMMISSIONThe functions of the Finance Commission are: Standing committee as established per C&BL GLOBAL LANDSCAPE CONVENTIONPurpose of the Task Force: To develop a Global Landscape Convention (GLC). A key initiative of the task force is to develop a discussion document and additional strategies to enable the promotion of the concept of a GLC.
The task force will organise and facilitate meetings, the central aim of which will be to promote the initiative to international agencies with a view to securing support, collaboration and the international acceptance of the GLC.
