The quest for a better standard of living has adversely impacted the current population especially ethnic groups and the under privileged. As a citizen of the earth and a guardian of the environment, we are constantly in search for innovative solutions to safeguard our mother earth for the future generations.

Student Charette
Closing Date : 31 May 2007
The Topic : Envisioning D'Eden

A charette is proposed for all design students and the program will be led by En. Nasir Baharudin (a local artist and senior lecture at Architecture Department, UPM) and a landscape architect (to be named). In the charette, the students will be asked to design an environmental art piece with Janda Baik as a context. Janda Baik is being chosen a context because of its charm and serene environment but its beauty has been threaten by rapid development and social changes. The participants will tour Janda Baik and later defined the problems faced by Janda Baik. The participants will be asked to represent the solution of the problem in the form of environmental art. It is suggested that participants of the charette will be allowed to attend the conference at special rate. Full details including programme and registration details

International Student Competition
Closing date : 31st July 2007

The Objective of this competition is to encourage and recognize superior student environmental design work that addresses and attempts to find solutions for the various issues and challenges that face future generations and the landscape architecture discipline in making the world a better place to live in. The competition invites submissions from teams of students in Landscape Architecture programs or other allied disciplines.
